Children of age 0-8 years are at the critical stages of holistic development (Physical, cognitive, emotional, language and psycho-social). To accelerate the holistic development of children of these age groups, the pre-school teachers and guardians must be well equipped with required knowledge and skills on how to produce cultural and development appropriate play material and playing techniques. Development Expertise Center has a given a three days trainings on holistic development appropriate playing techniques for the selected pre-school and mobile school facilitators in Ayssaita district. The training was a fun for the facilitators in which some play materials were produced from local resources and playing techniques like story collection from local elders (story tellers) and telling story to the children both by the facilitators and parents were introduced.
