Right Here Right Now 2 (RHRN2) Program

The Right Here Right Now 2 (RHRN2) program is a youth-focused initiative funded by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and led by Rutgers International. The program aims to empower Ethiopian youth, in all their diversity, to enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) within gender-just societies.

Our Goal
To create an environment where Ethiopian youth can make informed decisions about their reproductive health and rights while promoting gender justice.

Strategic Objectives
Empowering Young People: Ensuring youth have the knowledge and agency to make decisions about their reproductive health.
Shifting Social Norms: Building a critical mass that promotes positive attitudes toward young people’s SRHR and gender equality.
Policy Advocacy: Encouraging state actors to adopt, implement, and uphold human rights-based policies and laws that support young people’s reproductive health and gender justice.
Strengthening Civil Society: Enhancing the capacity of civil society organizations to champion youth SRHR and gender justice.
Our Implementation
The RHRN2 program in Ethiopia is carried out by an alliance of four national civil society organizations:

TAYA
Organization for the Development of Women and Children-Ethiopia (ODWACE)
Ethiopian Women with Disabilities Associations (EWDNA)

Where We Work
The program is actively implemented in 22 government primary schools and 4 youth centers across Arada, Bole, Lemi Kura, and Yeka sub-cities in Addis Ababa.
